Atomic Firefly would be beneficial in a burn or stall deck, where the goal is to inflict damage over time while controlling the board. Its effect punishes opponents for destroying it, making it a deterrent against aggressive strategies. However, there are arguably better options, such as Spirit Reaper, which can also avoid destruction and disrupt the opponent's hand, or Battle Fader, which can prevent battle damage altogether. While Atomic Firefly can be a fun and strategic choice, it may not see competitive play due to the availability of more effective cards that provide similar or greater utility.
