A deck focused on aggressive, creature-heavy strategies like red aggro or burn decks would benefit from Curse of Stalked Prey as it can quickly pump up creatures and increase their threat level. However, there are better options like Curse of Predation which not only provides +1/+1 counters but also allows the controller to draw a card whenever a creature with a +1/+1 counter on it dies, making it a more versatile choice for creature-based decks. Curse of Stalked Prey could see play in specific aggressive decks looking for additional ways to pump up their creatures, but it may not be a staple in most competitive decks.

The ability will trigger when any creature deals combat damage to the enchanted player, including one controlled by another opponent or even by the enchanted player (if combat damage gets redirected somehow).
