This card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures or causing mass creature destruction to generate a large number of nontoken creature deaths in a single turn. Decks that utilize cards like Plaguecrafter or Cauldron Familiar could synergize well with Rise of the Dread Marn to create a powerful board presence. While there may be other cards with similar effects, the flexibility of foretelling this card for a lower cost could make it a strong inclusion in the right deck, especially in strategies that revolve around sacrificing and reanimating creatures.

Because exiling a card with foretell from your hand is a special action, you can do so any time you have priority during your turn, including in response to spells and abilities. Once you announce you’re taking the action, no other player can respond by trying to remove the card from your hand.
