A deck focused on controlling the board and winning through poison counters would benefit from using Corrupted Conscience, especially in a blue-heavy control strategy. While Corrupted Conscience can be effective in certain situations, there are arguably better cards like Glistening Oil or Phyresis that provide similar effects more efficiently and at a lower cost, making them more viable options for competitive play.
