Lightning Punisher would fit well in a Link-focused deck that aims to create long Chains, such as those utilizing numerous Link Monsters or effects that generate multiple activations, like the Sky Striker or Salamangreat archetypes. While it has a powerful effect, there are arguably better options for removal, such as Accesscode Talker, which can destroy multiple cards and provide additional attack power, or Borreload Dragon, which can take control of an opponent's monster. Ultimately, Lightning Punisher could see play in niche strategies that can consistently trigger its effect, but it may not be the most optimal choice compared to more versatile removal options available in the current meta.
