This card, Maximize Altitude, would benefit a tempo-based deck looking to close out games quickly by granting evasion to a key creature. While it can provide a temporary boost in power and flying, there are better options such as Distortion Strike or Slip Through Space that offer more consistent and efficient ways to grant evasion. Maximize Altitude could see situational play in decks looking for redundancy in this effect or specific synergies with jump-start mechanics.

If an effect allows you to pay an alternative cost rather than a spell’s mana cost, you may pay that alternative cost when you jump-start a spell. You’ll still discard a card as an additional cost to cast it.

You must still follow any timing restrictions and permissions, including those based on the card’s type. For instance, you can cast a sorcery using jump-start only when you could normally cast a sorcery.
