Thing from the Deep, Creature — leviathan, designed by Paolo Parente first released in May, 1997 in the set Portal and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 3.99.
This card would be best suited for a control deck that focuses on controlling the board and maintaining a strong presence. While Thing from the Deep can be a powerful threat, its drawback of sacrificing an Island when it attacks can be limiting. There are likely better options available for a control deck, such as high-impact finishers like Sphinx of the Final Word or Aetherling, which provide more consistent value without the drawback of sacrificing lands. Overall, Thing from the Deep may not see much play in competitive decks due to its high cost and drawback.
