Decks that revolve around powerful single monsters or archetypes that can easily generate tribute fodder would find this card useful. While there may be better options for ATK boosting like United We Stand or Mage Power, Axe of Despair can still see play in specific strategies that can take advantage of its unique effect to recycle itself back to the deck for future use.
