A deck that focuses on building up a strong board presence with creatures that benefit from +1/+1 counters, such as a green-white counters deck, would benefit from including Longshot Squad. While Longshot Squad provides reach to all creatures with +1/+1 counters, making them effective blockers against flying creatures, there are potentially better cards like Tuskguard Captain that also provide a similar effect but with additional benefits like trample. Longshot Squad could see play in a casual or budget deck but may not be competitive in more optimized decks.
