Dimension Slice would be a strong addition to a deck that relies heavily on Special Summoning monsters, such as a Rank 4 Xyz-based deck, a Pendulum-focused strategy, or a Synchro-based archetype. While Dimensional Prison is a comparable card, Dimension Slice's ability to banish an opponent's monster upon a Special Summon, especially in response to Xyz Summons, gives it a unique advantage.
