About Aphotic Wisps

Aphotic Wisps, Instant, designed by Jim Nelson first released in May, 2008 in the set Shadowmoor and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0.59.

This card, Aphotic Wisps, would be beneficial in a black aggro deck looking to push through damage quickly by making a creature unblockable. However, there are better alternatives such as Distortion Strike which provides unblockable for two turns and also has rebound, making it a more efficient choice for aggressive strategies. While Aphotic Wisps may have situational use, it may not see widespread play compared to more versatile options available.

Rules

05/01/08

An effect that changes a permanent’s colors overwrites all its old colors unless it specifically says “in addition to its other colors.” For example, after Cerulean Wisps resolves, the affected creature will just be blue. It doesn’t matter what colors it used to be (even if, for example, it used to be blue and black).

05/01/08

Colorless is not a color.
