This card, Otherworldly Journey, would be beneficial in a white-based control deck looking to temporarily remove threats from the battlefield while also providing a boost to the returned creature. However, a similar card like Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares may be more versatile in dealing with threats permanently, making them better options in most situations. Otherworldly Journey could see play in specific decks focused on +1/+1 counters or recurring creature abilities, but its effectiveness may be limited compared to other removal spells available in Magic: The Gathering.
