This card, Sophic Centaur, would be a great fit for a deck focused on card advantage and life gain strategies, such as a green-based midrange or control deck. While it provides a continuous source of life gain, there are potentially better options like Thragtusk or Wurmcoil Engine that offer more impactful effects for a similar mana cost. However, if the deck is looking to synergize with discarding cards or has specific synergies with gaining life, Sophic Centaur could definitely see play in the right build.
