This card, Toll of the Invasion, would be beneficial in a control or discard-focused deck in Magic: The Gathering. It provides hand disruption by forcing the opponent to reveal their hand and discard a nonland card, which can disrupt their strategy. While there may be more efficient hand disruption cards available, such as Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek, Toll of the Invasion could still see play in decks looking for additional disruption options or synergies with Amass mechanics.

Any abilities that trigger when a creature with a certain power enters the battlefield, such as that of Mentor of the Meek, will see the token enter as a 0/0 creature before it gets +1/+1 counters.
