Amaterasu could be a valuable addition to a control-oriented deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's plays and maintaining board presence. While its effect of banishing all other cards on the field upon being flipped face-up can be powerful, its high cost of 9 ygo-light and the restriction of not being able to be Normal or Special Summoned may limit its practicality in competitive play.
