This Carrion Imp card would be beneficial in a black-based control or midrange deck that focuses on graveyard interaction and gaining life. While it provides a decent flying body and life gain, there are potentially better options like Reanimate or Griselbrand for more impactful graveyard interactions or lifegain. However, if the deck needs a solid midrange creature with some utility, Carrion Imp could see play as a budget-friendly option or as a filler card in certain strategies.
