About Consuming Vortex

Consuming Vortex, Instant — arcane, designed by Pete Venters first released in May, 2020 in the set Champions of Kamigawa. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 56.12.

This card, Consuming Vortex, would benefit a control deck looking to maintain board control and tempo by repeatedly returning threatening creatures to their owner's hand. While Consuming Vortex is a useful tool for disrupting the opponent's strategy, there are potentially better options like Cryptic Command or Into the Roil that offer more versatility and impact for a similar cost, making it less likely for Consuming Vortex to see play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks.
