Rogue Skycaptain, Creature — human rogue mercenary, designed by Randy Asplund-Faith first released in Jun, 1996 in the set Alliances and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 78.29.
This card would be beneficial in a red aggressive deck that aims to apply pressure on the opponent quickly. It can be a powerful threat in the early game with its flying ability and can potentially become a recurring source of damage if the player can keep paying the wage counters. However, its drawback of potentially losing control of it to an opponent makes it risky to include in competitive decks. There are better cards with similar effects like Stormbreath Dragon or Glorybringer, which provide more immediate impact and are more resilient in the long run.

No choices are made when this ability triggers. After the wage counter is put on Rogue Skycaptain, then you choose whether to pay mana and, if you don’t, which opponent gains control of it.
