About Supplant Form

Supplant Form, Instant, designed by Mike Bierek first released in May, 2020 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 637.51.

This card, Supplant Form, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on tempo and control strategies, as it allows you to bounce an opponent's threatening creature back to their hand while creating a copy for yourself. While it can be a powerful tool in certain situations, there are better alternatives such as Control Magic or Treachery which offer more immediate value by stealing the creature outright. However, Supplant Form could still see play in decks looking for a versatile and unexpected way to deal with opposing threats.

If the copied creature is a token, the token created by Supplant Form copies the original characteristics of that token as stated by the effect that put it onto the battlefield.

The token copies exactly what was printed on the creature and nothing else (unless that creature was copying something else or was a token; see below). It doesn’t copy whether that creature was tapped or untapped, whether it had any counters on it or Auras and/or Equipment attached to it, or any non-copy effects that changed its power, toughness, types, color, and so on.
