While Abbey Gargoyles provide flying and protection from red, making it a strong defensive option, there are potentially better cards like Baneslayer Angel or Serra Angel that offer more versatility and power for a similar mana cost. However, Abbey Gargoyles could still see play in specific metas where protection from red is crucial for survival.
