A deck that focuses on casting spells quickly and efficiently, such as a red burn or aggro deck, would benefit from using Commune with Lava as it provides card advantage and the potential for explosive turns. However, for a similar effect with potentially more flexibility, the card Experimental Frenzy may be a better choice as it allows you to play cards from the top of your library continuously. Whether Commune with Lava should see play depends on the specific strategy and synergies of the deck, but it could be a powerful option in the right circumstances.
