Embolden, Instant, designed by Rebecca Guay first released in Oct, 2001 in the set Odyssey. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of NZ$ 0.61.
Emboden would be particularly beneficial in a control or midrange white Magic: the Gathering deck, offering valuable protection against damage to multiple targets. While it does have useful utility and can be recast from the graveyard with flashback, other cards like Deflecting Palm or Settle the Wreckage may provide more immediate impact and versatility for a similar mana cost, potentially making them better choices. Ultimately, whether or not Embolden sees play would depend on the specific strategy and meta of the deck it's included in.

To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost (such as a flashback cost) you’re paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The converted mana cost of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.
03/19/21
You can cast a spell using flashback even if it was somehow put into your graveyard without having been cast.
03/19/21
“Flashback [cost]” means “You may cast this card from your graveyard by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost” and “If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack.”
