A deck focused on DARK Spellcaster-Type monsters with 2000 or more ATK, such as Dark Magician or Dark Magician Girl, would greatly benefit from using Black Illusion to protect their monsters from destruction and opponent's card effects for a turn. While Black Illusion offers solid protection, there are more versatile trap cards like Eternal Soul for Dark Magician decks that provide continuous protection and additional effects, making it a better choice for consistent play. However, Black Illusion can still be a situational tech card in certain matchups or strategies where temporary protection is crucial.
