Sylvan Cherubsprout would benefit a Plant-Type deck that focuses on excavating cards from the top of the deck and utilizing graveyard interactions. Decks that rely on graveyard recursion and swarming with Level 1 Plant-Type monsters would find this card useful. However, Sylvan Marshalleaf is a better option in most cases due to its more versatile excavating effect and its ability to destroy a card on the field upon being excavated. Sylvan Cherubsprout could see play in niche Plant-Type decks that specifically benefit from its Special Summoning effect, but it may not be a staple in competitive decks.
