A red aggressive deck that focuses on dealing direct damage and maintaining board control would benefit from including Shock Troops in its strategy. While Shock Troops can provide a quick burst of damage, there are potentially better options available in the current Magic: the Gathering card pool, such as Lightning Bolt, which offers more immediate and versatile removal. However, Shock Troops could still see play in specific decks that require additional direct damage sources or have synergies with sacrificing creatures.
