Mutant's Prey would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on +1/+1 counters and creature combat, such as a Green Stompy or a Simic Counters deck in Magic: the Gathering. While it provides a targeted removal option and can potentially take out a threatening creature from the opponent, there are more efficient removal spells like Prey Upon or Hunt the Weak that might be better choices due to their lower mana cost and flexibility. Overall, Mutant's Prey could see situational play in decks specifically built around +1/+1 counters and creature combat strategies.
