Path of Discovery would benefit a green creature-based deck that focuses on generating value through exploring and gaining +1/+1 counters. While it can be a powerful engine in the right deck, there are better options like Beast Whisperer or Guardian Project that provide more consistent card draw without the randomness of exploring. Path of Discovery could see play in a casual or budget deck, but in more competitive environments, it may not be the most optimal choice.

Path of Discovery’s triggered ability triggers along with any other abilities that say that the creature explores when it enters the battlefield, including abilities that come from the creature itself or from multiples of Path of Discovery. You may take actions between each resolving ability’s exploration.
