This card, Corrosive Mentor, would be best suited for a black-based aggro deck that focuses on reducing the power of opposing creatures and controlling the board. While it can be a strong addition to such a strategy, there are potentially better options like Midnight Banshee or Necroskitter that offer more impactful abilities.
