About Gempalm Strider

Gempalm Strider, Creature — elf, designed by Tim Hildebrandt first released in Feb, 2003 in the set Legions and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of $ 0.35.

This card would be beneficial in an Elf tribal deck in Magic: The Gathering, as it provides a way to boost Elf creatures' power and toughness temporarily while also offering card draw through cycling. While Gempalm Strider is a solid inclusion for its synergy with Elf tribal strategies, other cards like Elvish Archdruid or Elvish Clancaller may offer more consistent and impactful benefits to the deck, depending on the specific build and playstyle. Ultimately, Gempalm Strider could see play in certain Elf-focused decks looking for additional card draw and temporary buffs for their creatures.

Rules

10/01/08

Cycling is an activated ability. Effects that interact with activated abilities (such as Stifle or Rings of Brighthearth) will interact with cycling. Effects that interact with spells (such as Remove Soul or Faerie Tauntings) will not.

10/01/08

The cycling ability and the triggered ability are separate. If the triggered ability doesn’t resolve (due to being countered with Stifle, for example, or if all its targets have become illegal), the cycling ability will still resolve and you’ll draw a card.
