A deck that focuses on quickly filling the graveyard with cards to fuel its effects, such as a Lightsworn or Phantom Knights deck, would benefit greatly from Lightning Vortex due to its ability to clear the opponent's field. However, Raigeki is generally considered a better option as it does not require discarding a card, making it more versatile and easier to use in various situations. Lightning Vortex could still see play in decks that can easily recover from discarding a card or have specific synergy with graveyard effects.
