About Arcbound Hybrid

Arcbound Hybrid, Artifact creature — beast, designed by Alan Pollack first released in May, 2020 in the set Darksteel. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 6.10.

This card would be a great addition to an artifact-focused aggro deck that aims to quickly build a board presence and apply pressure to the opponent. Its Haste ability allows it to attack immediately, and the Modular 2 ability provides resilience by transferring its +1/+1 counters to another creature upon its demise. While Arcbound Hybrid is a solid inclusion, a potential better alternative could be Arcbound Ravager, which has a more impactful ability to sacrifice artifacts for additional power. However, Arcbound Hybrid could still see play in decks looking for a more budget-friendly option or seeking redundancy in their Modular strategy.

Rules

09/25/06

If this creature gets enough -1/-1 counters put on it to cause its toughness to be 0 or less (or the damage marked on it to be lethal), modular will put a number of +1/+1 counters on the target artifact creature equal to the number of +1/+1 counters on this creature before it left the battlefield.
