Memory Drain, Instant, designed by PINDURSKI first released in Dec, 2019 in the set Theros Beyond Death. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 6.10.
A control deck in Magic: the Gathering would benefit from including Memory Drain in its deck, as it provides a way to counter an opponent's spell while also allowing the player to scry 2, helping to set up future draws. However, there are arguably better cards for this purpose, such as Counterspell, which only costs U U to counter a spell without the scry effect, making it more efficient in certain situations. Memory Drain could still see play in decks looking for additional scrying options or in formats where Counterspell is not legal.
