A deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's Special Summons or relies heavily on controlling the field could benefit from using Royal Oppression. However, there are better alternatives like Solemn Strike or Solemn Warning which offer more versatility and can negate a wider range of card effects. While Royal Oppression can be situationally useful, its restriction of requiring Life Points to activate may make it less favorable in competitive play compared to other trap cards.
