A deck that benefits from having access to both black and green mana would greatly benefit from including Overgrown Tomb in its mana base, especially if it values flexibility and speed. Decks that utilize a combination of black and green cards, such as Golgari or Jund decks, would find Overgrown Tomb to be a valuable addition due to its dual land type. Unlike most dual lands, this land has two basic land types. It’s not basic, so cards such as District Guide can’t find it, but it does have the appropriate land types for effects such as that of Drowned Catacomb (from the Ixalan set).
