About Practiced Tactics

Practiced Tactics, Instant, designed by Alex Konstad first released in Sep, 2020 in the set Zendikar Rising. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 6.10.

A deck that focuses on assembling a diverse party of Cleric, Rogue, Warrior, and Wizard creatures would benefit the most from Practiced Tactics in Magic: the Gathering. This card can be particularly effective in a party-themed deck that aims to have all four party types on the battlefield simultaneously, allowing Practiced Tactics to deal significant damage to a target creature. While there may be other removal spells that are more versatile or efficient, Practiced Tactics could still see play in a party synergy deck as a way to leverage the party mechanic and gain an advantage in combat situations.

Rules

09/25/20

An ability referring to the number of creatures in your party gets a number from zero to four. Such abilities never ask which creatures are in your party, and you never have to designate specific creatures as being in your party. You can’t choose to exclude creatures from this count to lower the number.

09/25/20

To determine “the number of creatures in your party,” check whether you control a Cleric, whether you control a Rogue, whether you control a Warrior, and whether you control a Wizard. The number is the total number of those checks to which you answered yes. Each creature you control can be counted for only one of those checks.
