While it can be a fun and flavorful card to play with, there are more efficient options available for creating token creatures in Magic: the Gathering, such as Avenger of Zendikar or Hornet Queen, which may be better choices for competitive play due to their immediate impact on the board.

The player whose turn it is pays any amount of mana they want, then each other player in turn order does the same, then all the Squirrel tokens are put onto the battlefield at the same time.
