Melt Terrain, Sorcery, designed by John Avon first released in Oct, 2010 in the set Scars of Mirrodin. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 4.81.
Melt Terrain would be beneficial in a red aggressive deck looking to disrupt the opponent's mana base while dealing damage. However, a more versatile option could be Molten Rain, which also destroys a land and deals damage but at a lower cost of 1 R R . Melt Terrain could see play in specific metagames where land destruction is crucial, but overall, Molten Rain may be a more efficient choice for most decks.
