A deck that heavily relies on Xyz Monsters and Equip Spells would benefit from using Return of the Duelist in the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. While it is a useful card for searching out Equip Spells, there are potentially better options available such as Reinforcement of the Army or Unexpected Dai depending on the deck composition. Whether Return of the Duelist sees play would largely depend on its synergy with the rest of the deck's strategy and if there are more effective alternatives available.
