About Roil Eruption

A red aggressive burn deck would benefit from including Roil Eruption as it provides efficient direct damage to either a creature or opponent. However, there are potentially better options like Lightning Bolt or Skewer the Critics that offer similar or better damage output for a lower cost, making Roil Eruption less likely to see play in competitive decks.

An ability that triggers when a player casts a kicked spell resolves before the spell that caused it to trigger, but after targets have been chosen for that spell. It resolves even if that spell is countered.
