A deck that focuses on banishing and graveyard effects, such as a Lightsworn or Thunder Dragon deck, would benefit from using Soul Drain to disrupt their opponent's strategies. However, there are better alternatives like Macro Cosmos or Dimensional Fissure that completely banish cards instead of just negating their effects, making them more versatile and impactful in the current meta.
