Esta carta, Manto de Noche, beneficiaría a un mazo mono-negro que busque aprovechar el tipo de carta Pantano para varias sinergias, como activar habilidades de llegada de tierras o beneficiarse de cartas que se preocupan por los Pantanos. Sin embargo, existen mejores alternativas como Urborg, Tumba de Yawgmoth, que convierte todas las tierras en Pantanos sin necesidad de gastar mana adicional. Si Manto de Noche debería ser jugada dependería de la estrategia específica y sinergia del mazo, ya que puede tener aplicaciones específicas en ciertos escenarios.
