Alcaudón arpía, Criatura - arpía, diseñada por Christopher Moeller lanzado por primera vez en May, 2020 en edición Born of the Gods. Actualmente se vende al precio más bajo de ₲ 2481.65.

Un mazo que se centra en sacrificar las criaturas de los oponentes o controlar el tablero se beneficiaría del uso del Alcaudón Arpía en Magic: the Gathering. Si bien Shrike Harpy puede ser una poderosa adición a dicha estrategia, existen otras cartas como Grave Pact o Butcher of Malakir que ofrecen efectos similares de manera más eficiente. Alcaudón Arpía podría tener juego en ciertos mazos especializados, pero puede que no sea la mejor opción en entornos más competitivos debido a su mayor costo de maná y la posibilidad de que los oponentes mitiguen sus habilidades a través de la mecánica de Tributo.

For effects that check which player put counters on the entering creature, the player chosen to pay tribute puts those counters on it, not the creature’s controller.

Players can’t respond to the tribute decision before the creature enters the battlefield. That is, if the opponent doesn’t pay tribute, the triggered ability will trigger before any player has a chance to remove the creature.

The choice of whether to pay tribute is made as the creature with tribute is entering the battlefield. At that point, it’s too late to respond to the creature spell. For example, in a multiplayer game, opponents won’t know whether tribute will be paid or which opponent will be chosen to pay tribute or not when deciding whether to counter the creature spell.

The opponent you target with the triggered ability doesn’t have to be the same opponent you chose to pay tribute or not.
