This card would be beneficial in a Dinosaur-themed deck in the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG, as it allows for the quick Special Summon of a Dinosaur-Type monster from the Graveyard. However, there are better options available such as Double Evolution Pill which can Special Summon a Dinosaur-Type monster from the hand or Deck without the negation of its effects. Fossil Excavation could see situational play in decks that focus on Graveyard manipulation or need a quick Special Summon.
