About Hoshiningen

A deck that focuses on LIGHT attribute monsters, such as a Lightsworn or Blue-Eyes White Dragon deck, would benefit from using Hoshiningen to boost their ATK and weaken DARK attribute monsters. While Hoshiningen can be a useful support card in such decks, there are stronger options available like Honest, which provides a similar ATK boost but also has the added benefit of being able to protect a LIGHT monster from battle destruction. However, Hoshiningen can still see play in decks that require additional ATK boosts for their LIGHT monsters or need to weaken DARK monsters on the field.
