This card would benefit a Dark Magician-themed deck, as it allows for easy Special Summoning of Dark Magician when Dark Magician Girl is on the field. While Sage's Stone is a useful card for this strategy, there are potentially better cards like Dark Magic Curtain which can Special Summon Dark Magician directly from the Deck at the cost of half the player's LP, making it a more efficient option for faster plays in competitive matches. However, Sage's Stone can still see play in casual or themed decks for its synergy with Dark Magician Girl and its ability to facilitate Special Summons.
