Un mazzo che si concentra sul sconvolgere le strategie dell'avversario e sulla vittoria attraverso il danno da combattimento trarrebbe vantaggio dall'utilizzo di Rovina Improvvisa. Può essere particolarmente efficace contro i mazzi che fanno molto affidamento sulle abilità delle creature o sui trucchi di combattimento. Anche se potrebbero esserci altre carte che offrono effetti simili, l'abilità di Spoiling Improvviso rende unica e difficile la risposta degli avversari. Potrebbe essere giocato nei sideboard o come elemento unico in alcuni metagame dove il suo effetto è particolarmente d'impatto.
