Mind Protector

Over Mind Protector

Mind Protector, Psychic effect monster, ontworpen door Konami voor het eerst uitgebracht in juni 2022 in de set The Duelist Genesis: Special Edition. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0,16.

Mind Protector would mainly benefit a casual or older-style Psychic swarm/control deck that uses several low-ATK Psychic monsters, since they can still attack while most opposing monsters with 2,000 or less ATK are locked out; Level 3 and Psychic typing also make it searchable or summonable through cards such as Emergency Teleport. However, its 500-Life-Point Standby Phase cost, weak body, dependence on the opponent’s ATK values, and vulnerability to any removal make it too fragile for competitive play. For general defensive lockdown, Messenger of Peace is usually better because it costs only 100 Life Points per Standby Phase and stops stronger monsters from attacking, while Gravity Bind or Level Limit – Area B can provide more reliable stalling, though they also restrict your own monsters. Mind Protector has some niche value in a dedicated casual Psychic deck where preserving attacks from small Psychic monsters matters, but it generally should not see competitive play.
