A control deck that focuses on card advantage and graveyard recursion would benefit from using Steam Augury, as it allows for card selection and potentially fills the graveyard for future use. However, there are better options like Fact or Fiction which offer more control over the card distribution. Steam Augury could see play in more casual or budget decks, but in competitive settings, it may not be the optimal choice.

Steam Augury doesn’t target any opponent. In a multiplayer game, you choose the opponent as the spell resolves.
