A control deck that focuses on maintaining a high life total would benefit most from using Cosmos Elixir, as it provides card advantage and life gain. However, there are better cards for similar effects such as Phyrexian Arena for consistent card draw or Sphinx's Revelation for instant life gain and card draw. While Cosmos Elixir has its niche uses, it may not see widespread play due to the availability of more powerful options in Magic: the Gathering.
