Crovax the Cursed, Legendary creature — vampire noble, designed by Pete Venters first released in Mar, 1998 in the set Stronghold and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 12.11.
A deck focused on sacrificing creatures and generating +1/+1 counters would benefit from using Crovax the Cursed, as it can grow in power with each sacrifice. However, there are more efficient cards available for similar strategies, such as Bloodghast or Geralf's Messenger, which offer more immediate value or resilience. Crovax the Cursed may not see widespread play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks due to its slower and more conditional nature compared to other options.

If you choose not to sacrifice a creature and he has no +1/+1 counters, then nothing bad happens. Note that some other effect must be keeping him alive if he has no counters.
